Het kan het circuit beschermen tegen overbelasting en kortsluiting. Dit product heeft voordelen van een klein volume, een hoog breekvermogen, het knipt de oneven fase- en nuldraad tegelijkertijd door. Het beschermt ook personen tegen elektrische schokken wanneer de fasedraad tegenovergesteld is aangesloten.
